The Dragons have provided an injury update on four players ahead of the Charity Shield.
The big one: Valentine Holmes has recovered from the hamstring issue that’s kept him out since early January. He was available for this Saturday’s Charity Shield but won’t play. He’ll be ready for Rd 1 against the Bulldogs in Vegas.
Jacob Liddle is also progressing well from a hamstring injury. He’s back running and building volume, but he’ll miss Vegas. Aiming for a Rd 2 return.
Dylan Egan is in the late stages of his ACL rehab after surgery in June. He’s returned to some contact training and is targeting Rd 8-10.
Nathan Lawson (foot injury from last year’s NSW Cup postseason) is back running and focused on building volume. Eyes on a return around Rd 4.
Holmes available immediately, and Liddle a few weeks behind. Egan’s the longer-term one but contact training is a good sign for a mid-season return – it will be good to have him back.. Fingers crossed they all stay on track.
